My first Triathlon and our 5th Wedding Anniversary!

On Saturday, I did my first sprint triathlon in Saint George. I was not sure I would survive or make it to the end but some how I did. I have really gotten into swimming over the past year which is one thing I have never really done. A sprint triathlon consists of swimming 400 meters, biking 10 miles and running 3 miles. I can do them all individually but doing them right after each other is another story. It was actually a really fun experience! Saint George has about 5 or 6 triathlons a year so I plan on doing as many as I can train for. I invite anyone who would like to train for one to come join me this Spring for the Sand Hollow Triathlon. There is also beginner Triathlons that are half the distance on all the events or there is the Olympic Triathlon that are double the distance. That evening Mark and went out to Ruby River for dinner and to the new James Bond Movie to celebrate 5 years of marital bliss!!

Happy Birthday to Peggy!

I just wanted to wish Peggy a Happy Birthday today. Peggy is an amazing sister and person. She has more talent in her pinky than most people have in their whole body, not to mention she also courageously lives with and fights Lupus, an awful autoimmune disease on a daily basis. I hope you have a happy day and go out and celebrate in fine fashion!

I don't have updated picture of Peggy so I put this picture of Brianna. The blessing dress Brianna has on was made by Peggy. This picture does not do it justice. Peggy hand sewed hundreds of beads on the dress. It was beautiful. Peggy has also made baptism dresses for all her nieces.

Random pictures and thoughts of the Week!

I don't really have a theme or anything exciting to blog about just some random pictures and happenings that have gone on this week.

This is Brianna and Preston watching their new favorite cartoon show SCOOBY DOO. They get scared sometimes watching it but they love it!

Brianna has befriended a neighborhood cat and wanted to give it some milk. It now comes every evening to get more.

This is a BREAKING NEWS moment. Brianna has officially gotten off the bottle. This is a picture of the last bottle she had. As you can tell it has seen better days!

Brianna got a new pink potty chair and it has helped her immensely in her potty training process! I think we are almost there!

This is Brianna in her Mexican Senorita dress. We got it in Rosarito Beach, Mexico. If you are ever thinking about going to Rosarito Beach, DON'T GO! Choose nicer places like Cozumel or Cancun instead! Sorry if I have offended anyone from Rosarito Beach!

Finally this is a picture I took last night of one of our beautiful desert sunsets. The red cliffs at sunset light up like they are on fire!

Halloween Night!

This was our first real trick or treating experience with Anna. We had a pretty fun time except she refused to go up to most homes because they were dressed up. We were in Luke and Jill's neighborhood and everyone was sitting out on their porches waiting for the trick or treaters to come. Some people even had little games for the kids to play to win their treats, I thought that was kind of fun and creative! Another good thing that happened this weekend is Utah State won a football game!! Go Aggies!! Who cares that it was only their 2nd win of the year!
I had to work on Halloween Morning so we had the kids dress up and we played some halloween games with them and ate candy! This is Brianna and some of her boyfriends!

Climbing the old rock wall in a dress even!

Brianna hitting the streets of Washington trick or treating! She refused to take any candy from people who were dressed up in costume!

Preston playing the bean bag game trying to win a treat!

The Witch and the Wizard resting after a hard night of trick or treating!
