6 months and counting!

I can't believe my baby boys are 6 months old. A friend of mine who has twin girls told me the first year will be a blur of feedings and changing diapers!! After she told me that I got a little sad because I cherish the first year so much so I have made an effort to really enjoy each day with these boys and try to mentally record thoughts and memories in my mind!! Dustin and Drew are both over 16 pounds and getting heavier by the day. I have stronger biceps to prove it! Right now they are in the 80th percentile in their height yes I said height. This is strange because Mark and I are both not the tallest people in the world. Drew rolled over for the first time this week and Dustin said "Da Da Da" today! It seems like everyday is a new mile stone. After surviving the first 2-3 months I have loved being the Mother of twins. It is twice the work but as they say it is twice the fun!! Brianna continues to grow so fast. She is going to Dixie State Preschool, taking Ballet classes and loves being around other kids. She is spelling her name and other small words. She is a really responsible girl. She gets herself ready, brushes her teeth, makes her bed and usually makes her own meals. I am trying to hold her off from doing her own hair because we all know how that usually turns out! I have posted a bunch of pictures from our comings and goings over the past 6 months!

Twins finally Arrive!!

Hello everyone I am still alive and kicking!! I have been a busy little mother over the past 2 1/2 months and have not had much time to post pictures! I have taken so many but only have time to post a few. On April 7th Mark and I added two new beautiful baby boys to our family. Dustin Mark Udy was born at 9:26 a.m. 6 pounds 9 ounces and 18 inches long. Drew Robert Udy was born at 9:27 a.m. 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19 inches long. They were good sized babies especially for twins! They came out healthy and happy and never had to spend anytime in the NICU. I was so happy and relieved!! The past 2 1/2 months had been a roller coaster ride for Mark and I but we have survived! We simply could not have done it without the help of family and friends! Thank you to all that traveled to Saint George and helped me out and for those who offered up prayers from afar I truly felt them. This has been a very humbling experience and I have relied so much on the Lord to get me through the first month. I love these baby boys they are truly a miracle in my life and I am so grateful for them! They are growing so big and starting to smile and coo all the time! Dustin weighs in at over 11 lbs now and Drew over 10 lbs. They both have their own distinct personalities and did so right off the bat. Dustin is fiery and sassy, he has a very loud cry and lets you know when he is hungry. He is also more interactive and more aware than his brother.I love him for his sassy fun personality. Drew is a sweet, calm, gentle baby who rarely cries and sleeps so good for me! He has a sweet gentle smile that melts my heart. I love them both so much and now can't imagine our life without them. I will try to post more pictures as the months unfold. We love you all and miss seeing family!! Thanks to all that traveled down for the boy's baby blessing in June it was great to see you all!
A picture of me the night before I delivered the babies...Mark called this outfit my gray mafia suit!

Ok I know it has been awhile.....

Life for the Udy family has been busy and eventful I just have not blogged about it and I will tell you why. When you are almost 35 weeks pregnant with twins you can only sit in a computer chair for about 10 minutes before your feet and ankles start to swell and your back starts to spasm or you need to use the bathroom every 5 minutes anyway you get the idea. So I hope you truly appreciate this blog update that I am doing despite the pain, this is for my family and friends! I am coming to an end of almost a year long journey of tests, the invitro process and finally the closing weeks of pregnancy. My baby boys seem to be growing so well and will likely be at least 5-6 pounds by the time they come into this world. My life as a pregnant person with twins has been humbling to say the least. I actually had my 3 year old paint my toe nails last week because I have not been able to reach my feet for weeks. Needless to say more polish ended up on my area rug than my toes definitely not a good idea. I however feel very blessed and fortunate that my babies are growing well and that I have not been placed on bed rest. I have a scheduled c-section for April 7th so only 10 more days!!! I am so excited for my babies to finally get here! We have not come to a consensus on names so we may have to see them first before we finalize on 2 names. Well I better stop before my cankles get bigger I will post pictures of the babies when they get here!! If you are still reading this below I have posted several pictures of the past months events!! Take Care family and friends!!

Spring, Zion's Park and Easter Egg Hunts

We had our Ward Easter Egg hunt on Saturday. It was kind of early so everyone looked like they just rolled out of bed except those few you know the type that get up an extra 2 hours just to look perfect! Anyway Brianna had such a fun time and really got into it! She has 2 more easter egg hunts still to come so I will post more pictures!

Some friends of mine along with all our kids loaded up into 2 vans and headed to Zion's park. We had a great time and it was such a beautiful blue sky day! The kids loved it!

Brianna and friends walking on the river trail!

Brianna posing with some of her friends!

Since is has been such a rainy winter here in Saint George there were some water falls in Zion. It was absolutely beautiful!!

Craft Time!

Brianna has been really big into crafts, coloring and writing her name lately. We went to Roberts crafts and picked up a few fun crafts for her to do!

Udy Update!

A quick update of what is going on in the Udy Household! I am 29 weeks along now and feel like my stomach could explode at any minute. People ask me daily how I am feeling and this is my usual response "Oh I feel pretty good" when what I really want to say is "Well I feel like a large hot air balloon with swollen ankels, heart burn and an aching back other than that I feel terrific!! But despite all the wonderful symptoms of pregnancy we are still very excited for these baby boys to come into our family!! Mark has been painting the boy's room the past couple of Saturdays and we are starting to gather the supplies needed! It has been a cool, rainy Winter in Saint George this year so I am looking forward to the warmer Spring temperatures that are just around the corner! Please call or come visit as I will be trapped in the house with babies for awhile and will be feeling a little restless!!

Dixie Igloo Here We Come!

Saint George just built a brand new indoor ice skating rink. Brianna's prechool went on a field trip there last week and we had a great time. Brianna really got the hang of it quick!

This way to the Ice!

A friend of mine took Brianna out on the ice for me since I am a little out of balance right now already!

Mark and I went to an 80's party for New Year's Eve and had a great time. Mark decided to dress up as an 80's rocker and shaved his head into a pink Mohawk for the evening! He was definitely the winner for best 80's costume!
