Mesquite and Seafood Buffet!!

Saturday Night Mark and I were bored and he asked what should we do? I off handily said how about we go see Mesquite, Nevada. Mark jumped on the idea because he is always talking about the all you can eat buffets in Mesquite. For some strange reason my husband who hates Chuck-A-Rama, Golden Corral, and every other known buffet felt like the Mesquite buffets would offer a classier dining experience. As we entered the front doors of the Casa Blanca Hotel and Casino a rancid yellow cloud of nicotine smoke shrouded our heads and seemed to follow us as we walked. As we got in the buffet line with several senior citizens my appetite seemed to be diminishing. After paying for our meal we proceeded to our table where we learned that it was seafood buffet night. There is not any type of food I loath more than seafood, even the freshly caught coastal kind. This however was the cheap, frozen, inland kind. Needless to say Mark sort of enjoyed the buffet and Brianna and I ate mashed pototoes and cheese cake for dinner. As we pulled out of Mesquite, Nevada with the smell of cheap seafood and nicotine in our clothes and hair, it was safe to say Mark's love affair with Mesquite Buffets was officially over!!

First of all we just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter this past Sunday. We had a great Easter weekend with Ken, Sharon and their family visiting. We feel so blessed to have such a great family and so many blessings! I wanted to say congrats to a bunch of our family members that have done some great things over the past couple of months! Congrats to Alex for first place in North Carolina State Wrestling! Congrats to Thatcher for getting his Eagle Scout. Congrats to Samantha for making it on the Box Elder High Drill Team. Congrats to Austin and Lindsey Udy on their new baby boy "Ren" and finally congrats to Clint and Amy Udy on their new baby boy "Tyler" We love you all and are very proud of you!!

Ready for action!

We went to a couple of Hayden's baseball games this weekend and Brianna kept putting on Hunter's batting helmet so for Easter Ken and Sharon gave Brianna her very own "pink" batting helmet. It was so funny and she has worn it around all morning!!

Dental Visit!

Hunter had to make a quick trip to a pediatric dentist because of a hurting tooth. This picture was taken at the dental office. Obviously this picture was taken before the dentist had to pull one of Hunter's teeth because he is still smiling!! The dental office was built like a miniature western town and the kids could play in all the shops!!

Easter Weekend!

Ken, Sharon and family came South this weekend for a baseball tournament!! We had a great time!! We watched Hayden play baseball, went to Zion's National Park for the day and had our own Easter Egg Hunt at the house!! Thank you Sharon for all the candy and fun!

Our Saint George Home

Finally on board with the Blogger World!!

Well I bit the bullet and started my own family blog site. I love looking at all my family's blog sites especially since moving away to Saint George!! I will try and keep mine up dated as much as possible and hopefully our life will seem somewhat exciting to someone!! The above tulip picture is to get you into the Spring Fever Mood. Mark took that picture at temple square last year! Spring has also hit Saint George and the tulips and daffadils are out and the pink blossoms on the trees are also bursting open. We love any visitors to come so give us a ring and we'll even wash the sheets!
