Snow! Snow! Snow! Snow! Snoooooow!

For those of you who have seen the classic movie "White Christmas" the above title should be sung rather than read. It snowed 2-3 inches in Saint George this past week! It usually snows in Saint George at least once a year but it is usually just a dusting of snow and it melts quickly. The County School District closed all the schools for the day and there were quite a few wrecks on the roads. Those of us from Northern Utah were kind of chuckling that they closed the schools over 3 inches of snow. The kids in our neighborhood were having a ball and everyone was out throwing snowballs and building snowmen. I loved it because it makes it feel more Christmas like. Las Vegas also got hit by the storm and it was reported as the worst winter storm in Las Vegas History.

Our family photo on the Sunday before Christmas. I laugh at this picture because we look so calm and put together but earlier I was ready to pull my hair out because Brianna was being difficult and we were late for Church! But Merry Christmas from the family none the less!!

Brianna is obsessed with presents under our tree and she frequently asks if she can open one. Christmas will not come soon enough!!

Many of you may recognize this creepy little Elf. He belonged to my Grandma Johnson. When I was a little girl we would go to Grandma Johnson's every Christmas Eve. This Elf would always be sitting on a small end table with blue Christmas Lights behind him. One Christmas Eve Kenny and Kathy told me he was watching me and would come alive on Christmas Eve Night. Thus this Elf would really creep me out and I always thought I could see his beady little eyes move as he watched me. When Grandma Johnson moved from her Tremonton house she was going to throw out the Elf and I asked her if I could have him. I am now carrying on the Creepy Elf tradition and told Brianna the other day when she was whining and throwing a fit that the Elf was watching her and now she is very leery of him also. Hey if a creepy little Elf can help me out when my kid is crying I'll keep him around!!

Creepy Elf keeping watch over the presents!!

Welcome to snow, it is snowing as I write this and has been snowing all weekend long. We don't cancel school unless there is about 2 ft.

I love the creepy little elf. Apparently there is a book with an elf they are selling now and it is such the craze here in Utah COunty. It's called Elf on the Shelf. The book talks about this little elf who watches and takes notes for Santa and you can't touch the elf or the magic will leave him. Apparently is does wonders with the kids. I think I might have to get one for next year!

I am glad you got snow. That always seems to make it feel much more like Christmas. :)
